transportation

This table gives/shows to us information about seven different forms of transportation in Wales in 1990 & 2005. Altogether, in 1990 people travelled 4,740 miles compared to 6,475 in 2005.
Starting with walking, 1990 has 255,000 miles, while in 2005 there was a small increase about only 3,000 miles. Bicycles were also used in that time, but there was no big change, it was only about one thousand miles between 1990 & 2005. But we can see there was a clear change with the car users. There was 3,199 thousand miles in 1990, but in 2005 there was 4,806,000 miles of travelled in Wales by cars. In other transports like the local buses we see it was opposite comparing with the three before, because the number of miles decreased in 2005 from 429 in 1990 to 274 thousand miles. In coach the miles 54 thousand, but in 2005 it’s more than double of the number of miles to 124 thousand. Trains in 1990 were about 289,000 miles and in 2005 the number was 366,000 miles. The taxi also increased from 13 to 42 thousand miles in 2005. Finally all modes of transporting in Wales was 4,740,000 miles and in2005 it’s increases to 6,475,000 mile
Overall I think the number usually increases day by day, but we must think of the future live to be safer for the environment and in transportations.

HCT argument

In many countries all around the world the way to pass your education level is through examinations. Lots of people say that exams are unfair way of assessment and should not be used at the Higher College of Technology in the United Arab Emirates. There are two asides which I will discuss.

Examinations make students nervous, they feel stressed about taking the exams which make them lose marks and do not do well. It’s also unfair way to assess knowledge considering that the exams for all the year are in one or two week each exam follow the other day by day, That’s why student feel nervous, this is why most of the people want home work and the all year work counted to pass the year this is the way to assess student progress because it’s better to do things counted as marks to pass when you are not under pressure. Most of the people who agree that say this will affect all the career life for the students in the future.

On another hand teachers and professors believe that exams are a good incentive for students to study and review course materials. For those who say that’s its unfair for students to be asses by examination, they reply: the tests are fair assessments because the same exam is taken by all the students and it helps the student to know what they understand and do not understand of the course content”.
In conclusion, almost all of the schools and even colleges and universities are using examinations as a way to assess students. In my opinion examinations are better because it will keep you under pressure only during the exams time but if the assess are all year that means you will be under pressure

Line graph for canada

This line graph illustrates the number of visitors over 10 years from two countries Japan and Spain to Canada between the years 1996 to 2006.
The number of Japanese visitors was highest in 1996 to 1999 at more than 800 thousand visitors. The number of Spanish visitors was sharply increased from about 300 thousand in 1996 to about 650 thousand visitors in 1999. But after 1999 the number of visitors from both countries changed, in 2001 the Japanese visitors were reduced to 800 thousand visitors and the number of Spain visitors greatly decreased to about 500 thousand visitors. In the last five years the number or visitors from Japan to Canada started to go up and in 2006 was about 630 thousand visitors and the number of Spanish visitors greatly dropped and in 2006 it reached less than 600 thousand visitors.
In conclusion, the number of Japanese visitors outnumbered the Spanish visitors during the ten-year period.

Argument .... education

In this topic I'm going to talk about two arguments. There are people say that should pay for full cost of their studies rather than being given free higher education, here in HCT we do not have to pay except what we pay for laptops.

Firstly, the people who agree with paying for higher education, actually there is no many ideas to support this argue. However, people support their view because every where people should pay for education even for school. They think people should pay because they will work hard and study hard in college also they support college to develop their resource and education when they pay also it can help in the payment for the staff salaries.

The second argue is a person have not pay for education because maybe there are not many people going to learn in high education. However, those people believe the reason why the education is free, because the government wants to support people to learn and to give them some help. Also they need educated people in this country.

Overall, here you can found free college and not free college so you can chose between colleges even schools. What do you think is better you can chose it up to you. But I think the second argue is better because we educated people and if you change every things to private it may cause reducing in the number for students in higher educations.

Farmers in the US

The graph shows the comparison between the number of farms and a farm workers in 1910 – 2000 in the U.S.The biggest change was between 1950 – 2000 with workers , which fall sharply starting fifty years ago. The second major change was in the workers. The number slightly decreased for twenty years from 1950 to 1970. The third change was in form worker numbers which declined sharply two years ago. In contrast, the number of farms steadily during the first forty – years period. In the next forty – years the numbers of farms slightly decreased. The farm numbers are expected to fall sharply. After recent fall, numbers had decreased steadily for forty – years. By the end of the period, the farm number stayed stable forty – years. In conclusion, the overall the trend shows a decline in both numbers in farms and farms workers in the 20th century in the U.S.
The graph compares annual consumption of low fat and whole milk in liters per person in the second half of the 20th century in USA. Overall, Americans drink much less milk now than at the start of the period. The biggest change was the dramatic drop in total milk consumption. It fell from about 130 liters per person in 1950 to only around 90 liters five decades later. The second major was in the type of milk drunk. At the beginning, whole milk was more popular at 120 liters, but it fell sharply to about a quarter that by 2000. In contrast, the amount of low fat milk consumed shot up. It rose from roughly 10 liters in 1950 to five times that in 1980, when consumption was almost tied with whole milk.In conclusion, the American diet with regard to dairy changes significantly over the time represented. Total consumption decreases but low-fat finally outranks whole milk.

Argument

Have you ever considered the fact that every year millionsof animals undergo painful death as a result of scientific research? While most people think animal testing is necessary, others are upset by what they see as needless suffering. This essay outlines some of the arguments for and against animal testing.First, let’s look at the advantages. One very positive point is that many medical treatments and procedures have been developed from such experiments. Since animals share many features with humans, scientists use animals to test the safety and effectiveness of newly developed drugs. Moreover, there is a large supply of animals. Some, such as mice and rats, have many babies, and there is no danger of extinction for these species. Finally some advocates think that animals are less valuable than people. If there is a mistake, it will not cost a human life. However there are also a number of arguments against animal testing. Perhaps the most important is that animals may be suffering unnecessarily. Critics do not believe that every new drug needs to be tested on animals. Furthermore, some feel animal testing is ineffective; they point out that many drugs still have to be withdrawn from the market despite extensive testing. Last, some campaigners would like to see alternative used. They feel more humane testing is possible and, too, that we could rely more on organ donors. To conclude, we need to ensure that animals used for experimental purposes do not suffer much pain. Although some animal testing may be unavoidable at present, treating our fellow creatures mercifully will demonstrate our humanity.

Two pie charts

The two graphs show the distinct differences between two age groups with their free time activates in the UK.
The common activate is Electronic Equipment. It is 41% on the younger group and 38% in the older group. Sport percentage in the younger group is 20% with the older group having 5% on the sport quarter. So young people are more interested sport than the older ones. Books and magazines, the older group has more than two times the younger group. That's mean that when you got old you have the will to open a book and read it. Interesting thing that photography has no effect on age because its 5% in both graphs. And last one is gardening. It has more effect on older group than the young ones.
In sum, the activity that keeps you relaxed like gardening and reading is more preferred by older people that its on young people.

Stacked on the torrent

It was a nice day with cool weather. I went to the desert with my friends. We set up the fire to BBQ our meat that we bought from the market. After that the sky rains a little so we were happy that it wasn't rain since last year. The fire dead and we couldn't do a thing so we put the meat on our car. While we walking to our car we heard a thunder and all of a sudden heavy rain foll from the sky. We dashed to our car. Then while i was on my car my phone rain. My father called and told me that we must get out from there as soon as pose able. There was a torrent of water coming to our area. We started our three car and moved from there. My friend was frighted so he accelerated fast that his car stacked. I stopped there and I tried to push the car .The car was heavy because there was four of my friends on his car. I told them to get my car and drive to a save area. While they gone I voided the air from the tires. I got out from the stack but the torrent blocked my way to the street. So I derived to the other way around it. The sand was hard to drive on so I give it some muscle on the metal and I got free from there. I grouped with my friend at nearest petrol station. I was a hero that day and I had to do what i did.
